Kimberly began painting in 1983 in Kona Hawaii. She studied and later taught in a local studio/gallery. She showed her work in galleries in Kona before returning to her native Portland Oregon to pursue her degree in painting drawing and printmaking at Portland State. After owning and operating galleries she now owns and operates an art brokerage and consulting company while continuing to paint.
The journey of art making has taken her through many media and more than 12 countries. She continues to travel with her husband and children, pochade box in tow. She paints in oil, mixed media and encaustic and is currently exploring encaustic in monotype and en plein air.
